Pink And White Swirl Nails

Pink and White Swirl Nails

Today's prompt for the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge is "Delicate Print." I wasn't sure what to do for this one since it is such a broad theme and I feel like a lot of things could fall into this category (flowers, lace, etc).  For some reason, I kept thinking back to this light pink and white nail art I did.  Not sure why but the look of it seems delicate to me, maybe because of the combination of the light pink and white or maybe it's the swirl pattern. Either way I'm calling it a delicate print.

For this design I painted my nails using a new nail polish that I got for Christmas by Pretty Please nail polish.  It's really cool- my family was able to pick a color and name it after me.  They gave me two- one with my full name and one with my nickname, Neri, which is this pretty pink color.  I love the shade and it's such an awesome gift!

After I painted my nails and let them dry, I used a white nail art pen from a set by Hot Designs to create the swirls. I've always wanted to do some kind of swirl nail art and the pen made it easier to do so!  The nail art pens were a gift from my mother-in-law.  I have such a thoughtful family!

I think the result was very pretty and I like that I created this design using gifts from my family.  It's another special one.

That completes day 15 of the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge. Can you believe it?  I'm just about half way through the challenge!  :)

The 31 Day Challenge (#31DC2015) is a challenge where participants do nail art inspired by 31 prompts and post one per day.  I won't be painting my nails every day but I'm challenging myself to try to at least post each day using nail art I have yet to share in addition to new ones.  Not sure if I'll be able to keep it up with my schedule but I'm going to try! Thanks for following along!

  1. Way to go Nerissa! Halfway is its own accomplishment:) I think this counts as delicate:) The white swirls look pretty on the pink. I've never tried the nail art pens before. They look helpful.

  2. It's so hard to find things with my name on it, let alone a custom nail polish. How cool!
