Haunted Mansion Nails inspired by the Tightrope Walker

Haunted Mansion Nails inspired by the Tightrope Walker

This is the nail art I did yesterday for Day 27 of the 31 Day Challenge - inspired by artwork. Because I was going to spend the day at Disneyland, I chose one of the stretching room portraits in the Haunted Mansion- the tightrope walker.

I kept it simple because of time and just used colors that are inspired by it and then added the flowers from her skirt onto the nails that were painted white.  The shade of green I used for the flowers wasn't quite right but I think you can still see the resemblance.  I thought it was pretty although sometime I would like to redo it and try to add an alligator and a parasol.

We actually have that particular portrait in our apartment.  Here are my nails next to it.

Overall I was happy with these!  Here they are at Disneyland outside the Haunted Mansion!

That completes Day 27- so close to the end of the challenge!  I've gotten a little behind on the challenge because we have family in town and family time is important to me, but I think I should be able to catch up by Wednesday!

The 31 Day Challenge (#31DC2015) is a challenge where participants do nail art inspired by 31 prompts and post one per day.  I won't be painting my nails every day but I'm challenging myself to try to at least post each day using nail art I have yet to share in addition to new ones.  Not sure if I'll be able to keep it up with my schedule but I'm going to try! Thanks for following along!

  2. I can see the resemblance for sure. Even if you hadn't said anything I would've caught the HM vibe. ;)
