It's Day 25 of the 31 Day Challenge and the theme is "inspired by fashion." I'm not the most fashion savvy person but I'm actually a big fan of Project Runway and have watched many seasons of it over the years. Season 13 had one of my favorite looks created on the show because it featured a psyhedelic yeti! The Matterhorn at Disneyland is my favorite ride so I love yetis!

Water Marble Nail Art- Lisa Frank
It's Day 20 of the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge and the theme is water marble. I've never done water marble nail art before. One time my sister did my nails for me but I haven't tried the water marble technique myself. It was really messy and I thought I didn't do it right but once I cleaned it up and added a top coat, I was surprised to find that it looked better than I thought!

Paint the Night Inspired Outfit and Nail Art
It's day 9 of the 31 day challenge and the prompt is a cheerful one- rainbow nails! It was hard to choose between a couple colorful manicures that I haven't shared yet but in the end I decided to post my recent attempt at paint drip nail art.
I had put together an outfit inspired by the new nighttime parade at Disneyland called Paint the Night so I thought paint drips would match well. Instead of picking a color to go underneath, I decided to just do a clear base coat and then added different colors to the tips of my nails trying to make it look like it was drippy paint.

Colorful Easter Nails
Today I'm sharing my Easter nail art that I currently have on my nails right now!

For my Easter nails, I knew I wanted something colorful so I started out by going through my polishes and picking out bright and happy colors. These are the polishes I ended up using as the base colors:
Nicole by OPI (Selena Gomez collection) "Love Song"
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Mellow Yellow"
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Blizzard Blue"
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Green with Envy"
Sinful Colors "Pink Forever"
Kiss Nail Artist Kit (I used a couple polishes from this kit for the stripes and chevron lines)
I painted each of my nails a different color and then thought about what I wanted on each nail. I wanted some of my nails to look like Easter eggs but I wanted to add a bunny in there too so I chose my ring finger to paint bunny ears. On my thumbnail, I painted some flowers. To paint each design, I I stuck to colors that were on the other nails to try to make it all look more cohesive. I was pleased with how it came out and the result was definitely as colorful and happy as I'd been hoping for!
I did the same thing on my right hand except on my thumbnail, I painted clouds instead of flowers.
If you want to do similar Easter nail art, go for it! You could even just stick to a simple mani using spring colors if you don't have time to paint on the designs. I almost left my nails that way since spring colors looks so great on their own! I don't think I'll be painting any Easter eggs this year though so I thought painting designs on my nails were a fun way to make up for it.
Have a happy Easter everyone and happy Spring!
P.S. I know I promised one more Frozen inspired mani but my schedule got too busy so I'm saving it for later since Easter is coming up fast! It'll hopefully be one of the next ones I share! :)

Pop Century Tie-Dye Nail Art for the Disneyland 10k
Recently my husband and I completed the Disneyland 10k! We both wore our Pop Century shirts for the run so I painted my nails to match! Here's what I came up with:
Pop Century is a resort at Disney World where different sections of the hotel are themed to different decades from the 50s to the 90s. We stayed there on our honeymoon last year and enjoyed walking around looking at the fun and colorful decor.
On my thumb I painted the word "Pop" using red and yellow like it is on the resort's sign. For the rest of the nails I decided to do something different. When I think of Pop Century, I remember the tie-dye cheesecake we enjoyed while staying there so I decided to try to do a tie-dye design.
It was fun to have cheerful and colorful nails at the 10k. Plus I think they went with my outfit well! I even found a headband at the runDisney Expo that matched my nails! I bought it and wore it at the 10k.
Here are me and my husband during the 10k!
We did it!
I was so happy we completed the Disneyland 10k! It was a great experience! Here's one last photo- my nail art with my shiny new medal!

I looked around on Pinterest for ideas on how to do the tie-dye. I found a tutorial on the blog "The Crafty Ninja" and used that as a guide. I painted my nails with white polish first. Once it dried, I painted stripes of a few different colors onto the nail and then while it was still wet I dragged a toothpick through all the colors. It wasn't exactly the effect I wanted but I was still happy with it especially since I was a bit pressed for time. It was messy and I got paint everywhere so I had to do a lot of clean up once my nails were done but I think the result was still pretty good!

Birthday Candles Nail Art
It was my birthday recently so I painted birthday candles on my nails.
Originally I tried to do cupcake nails but I wasn't happy with how they came out so I went for birthday candles instead. I'll have to try the cupcakes again sometime though!
Birthday candles need a birthday cake so I thought I'd share a picture of mine. My husband made a dinosar cake for me and it came out great! I love it!

Dapper Dans Inspired Nail Art
A couple weekends ago I went to Dapper Day at Disneyland! Dapper Day is a day where many people go to Disneyland dressed in their finest! I went last year as well and while I was there I got to meet the Dapper Dans!
It was so neat to get to get a photo with them that I decided to use the Dapper Dans as inspiration for my Dapper Day nail art this year!
As you can see I painted my nails to match the Dapper Dans’ attire! I used these colors and they seemed to match quite well!
I painted each of my nails one of the colors and then used the white polish from a Kiss Nail Artist kit to paint stripes so that it would look like the pattern on their jackets. On my thumb I painted a stripe of each color sort of like a rainbow!
My friends seemed to pick up on what inspired my nail art right away so I was really happy with how my nails came out! Here they are on Dapper Day!
I took a lot of photos of my nails but not so much with my whole outfit so I’ll share this photo to give you an idea on what my dapper apparel looked like that day!
Dapper Day is a a fun day to visit a Disney park so if you ever get a chance to go I highly recommend it! If you want to read about my Dapper Day experience be sure to check out my Dapper Day recap on So Disney!
What do you think of my dapper nails? I really liked how colorful it ended up! I may have to do this design again sometime!

Hearts Nails- Valentine's Mani
Valentine's Day is on Thursday so it's time for some hearts nail art!
Valentine's Day definitely isn't my favorite but it is close to President's Day which is a holiday for me and this year it also means it's time for my vacation! So I guess you could say I am much more enthusiastic about it approaching than usual. :) I hope everyone has a happy Valentine's Day!
I used the colors in a new polish set that my husband got for me. It was really sweet of him!
I love that the name of the Lancome set is Vernis in Love and thought it was
fitting that I use it to freehand some hearts onto my nails! The names of the colors are Noir Caviar, Midnight Rose, and Rouge Reglisse. I used a
silver polish out of my Kiss Nail Artist kit to outline the hearts.
I really liked how it came out and got this picture of my thumbnail dotting the "i" on the California Pizza Kitchen menu on a lunch date with my husband.

Colorful Mani inspired by Disneyland iPhone Case!
I'm excited to share this next mani! I really loved how it came out and ended up keeping it for 2 weeks which is a lot longer than usual for me.
A couple weeks ago we celebrated my husband's birthday and even though it was his day he surprised me with a gift- a Disneyland iPhone case that I had really wanted! It's colorful and I love the design. I love it so much that I decided to try to make my nails match!
I looked through all my polish and tried to find colors similar to those on the case and then painted rectangles using a thin brush onto a light blue base color. Then I outlined the rectangles with white polish. I didn't add the letters because I liked how it looked as it was.
I was surprised by how many compliments I got on this mani! A few people thought it looked like artwork and it was always fun to show them how they matched my case.
Here are a couple more photos because I took a million of them and had a hard time narrowing them down!
I was really happy with this one! It lasted a long time and I was sad when it came time to remove the polish! It was fun to match my cheerful phone case for a couple weeks! What do you all think?
