Inspired by a Song- Love You Like A Love Song
Day 22 of the 31 Day Challenge is nail art that is inspired by a song. I chose the song "Love You Like A Love Song" by Selena Gomez & the Scene. I actually have a Nicole by OPI polish from the Selena Gomez collection called "Love Song" which I thought was perfect for it! It's a pretty shade of purple and one of my favorites. I used that as the base and then kept the nail art design simple. I used a nail art pen to paint on music notes. On my ring finger I used Sinful Colors "Boom Boom" polish to paint a heart and add some more color to the notes.

Violet with Gray's Anatomy Nail Polish
Day 6 of the 31 Day Challenge is violet nails. I wasn't sure about what shade of violet it needed to be so I looked at what other bloggers have done for this prompt in the past and it seemed like most shades of purple would do. I decided I'd share a mani where I paired a violet color with a nail polish by Wet n Wild called "Gray's Anatomy." The Gray's Anatomy polish is a very interesting shade. It seems more purple than gray and also has somewhat of a metallic look. The color looks different depending on how the light is hitting it. I added some hearts to them with the violet polish. Unfortunately I didn't get the best photo of these with the hearts on them but here's what I have!

Selena Gomez Collection- Love Song
I have another manicure to share with you using Selena Gomez polishes! This one uses the polish I wanted most- Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez "Love Song."
I really wanted this polish mostly because of the name. Selena Gomez's "Love You Like A Love Song" is a special song to me- it reminds me of my youngest sister, some of my friends, and it was played at my wedding reception. "Love Song" is a pretty purple polish and I really love it! I really liked the glittery Selena Gomez Nicole by OPI Stars at Night polish I had used before so I added some of that to the tips of my nails.
I got these Selena Gomez Collection polishes at a good time. I had to dress more like a grown up that week and my nails had to match! I think it all went together well!
Here's another close up:
One last picture- this was from when I visited Fantasy Faire at Disneyland. I'm drinking a Boysen Apple Freeze in a souvenir stein. You can see my nails in the picture!

What do you think of this polish? Purple is such a fun color! I think I will be able to do a lot with this polish!

Once Upon A Time Poster Nail Art
I’m really excited to share this nail art I did recently. I had a couple requests for nail art inspired by the TV show Once Upon A Time so a couple weekends ago I went for it! I love the poster that has Emma in the midst of the purple smoke that is bringing magic to Storybrooke so I decided to use it as inspiration. Here is the result!

Flower Nails
Recently one of my sisters was in town! My husband arranged it and it was so wonderful to see her! I hadn't seen her since Christmas which is much too long. While she was here we had an evening where I painted her nails. Here is what I did!
I let her pick the colors and I used them to paint a design that had flowers and a couple hidden Mickeys (since we were going to Disneyland the next day!). She liked Sephora by OPI "Traffic-Stopper Copper" so I used that on one of her nails as well. Here's a picture of the mani I took while waiting for our lunch in California Adventure.
While at the parks I got her a 2012 Duffy during her visit since my other sisters all have one and she should have a travel buddy too! We bought him a Pluto shirt since it was too hot for his sweatshirt! ;-) He liked her mani!
I think my sister seemed really happy with her nails and I was delighted to have her here. I miss her lots!

Yellow Polish, plus Collage and Music Nails!
Today’s post features 3 manicures I did this week!
Some of my family was in town for a few days last weekend. I felt sad after they headed home so I
painted my nails in a cheerful color to try to brighten my mood. I picked the
color yellow! I used a NYC nail polish
called “Taxi Yellow Creme". It took a few coats but
in the end my nails were a happy soft yellow.
I took out my new dotting tools for practice and used it to
paint dots on my nails. I used L.A. Colors “Sea Siren”. It was a very simple mani that
didn’t take too long to do. I even threw
in a hidden Mickey.
My family was only in town for a few days but I did manage
to do quick manis on my sisters.
Although I started out with the new nail tools I had gotten I ended up
going back to the tools I was used to for time reasons. For one of my sisters I painted her nails
with a collage of different designs because I couldn’t decide on one. I put
Sanrio's Batz Maru on one nail, glitter on another, and what reminded us of her
cat on her thumb.

For my other sister we did a music theme and I painted music
notes on her nails along with some zig zag lines, stars, and microphones.
I wish we’d had more time but I'm so happy they were able to visit. I really miss them all a lot and I have been a bit of an Eeyore since they’ve left.
On a happier note, I think I’ll be starting the 31 day
manicure challenge in the next couple weeks. I hit a bit of a creative block in
general so I think it will be a great way to push myself and maybe even learn
some new nail tricks as I go.

Purple And Silver Glitter Nails
I thought I would start off with what I did with my nails recently! Especially since it included glitter which always reminds me of pixie dust! My family gave me some pretty purple polishes for my birthday so I really wanted to make use of them. I was going to Vegas that weekend so I decided I'd use the purple with the purple glitter polish I had gotten. The color was really pretty and I liked the result!
I felt it needed something more though so I decided to add some more sparkle with a silver nail that would hopefully bring me some luck while playing the slot machines in Vegas! I used a coat of silver colored polish and then topped it off with OPI's Rainbow Connection polish (from their Muppets collection).
I was really happy with it! It didn't bring me the luck I needed to win the big bucks in Vegas but at least they looked pretty good!
